UK Student Visa Requirements


To get the
UK Student Visa successfully, students require a

  • Offer letter of acceptance (otherwise called Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)) by your education provider.
  • Sufficient money to support yourself and your studies during your entire study period.
  • Can fluently speak, read, write, and understand English without any difficulty.
  • Proof of parents’ consent if you are 16 or 17.

What are the documents required for UK Student Visa?


To apply for the UK Student Visa, international students need to submit certain documents.

Let’s see the list of documents one by one.

  • A Current Passport.
  • A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) by your education provider.
  • Proof of enough funds like bank statements, scholarships and bursaries.
  • A Valid Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate if your course demands it.
  • Proof of parents’ or legal guardian consent if you are under 18.
  • Proof of your relationship to your parent or guardian if you are under 18.
  • Tuberculosis Test Results.
  • A written consent letter from your sponsor, who sponsors your education and living costs.

  • Euro 1334 per month (for nine months) if they choose to live in London.
  • Euro 1023 per month (for nine months) if they choose to live outside London.

UK Student Visa Process


The
UK Student Visa is necessary if international students choose the UK as their study destination. Once they are confident about their study destination, they should start the Student Visa process at least six months before their course starts.

The process includes the following steps.

  • The process starts with students applying for their desired course at a UK university.
  • Wait for the confirmation letter of acceptance, locally called in the UK as Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the education provider.
  • Once receive your CAS, apply for your UK Student Visa Online or Offline.
  • If choosing Online - visit the UK’s Immigration and Visa website.
  • If choosing Offline -  visit your country’s UK Embassy and Consulate office and fill out the UK Student Visa application form.
  • After filling out the form, pay the UK Student Visa application fee. (We have given the application fee details in the fees section).
  • Get all your documents ready.
    • A valid passport.
    • Academic transcripts.
    • If Academic Transcripts are not in English, the documents must be translated to English accompanied by the original. a) The translation should contain a sign from the translator that it is the exact translation of the original. b) Translator’s or Translation company’s contact details c) The date of the translation.
    • Proof of Finances - Personal Bank Statements or Bank Letters or Official Loan Letters or Official Financial Sponsorship Letters.
    • Consent letter from the government in case government is the sponsor.
    • If the funds are under their parents’ names, students should get consent from their parents to use the money.
    • If the funds are under the Parents’ names, students should provide proof to prove their relationship with their parents. Birth certificates or Adoption Certificates are accepted.
    • If students are under 18, they need a consent letter from their parents or guardian stating their consent to study in the UK.
    • Score certificate of English Language proficiency test.
  • Tuberculosis Test Results
  • ATAS Certificate
  • Police Registration Certificate
  • Biometric Test

Then finally attend the Visa interview in the UK Embassy and Consulate office in your home country and get your visa.
